Music Playschool Enhances Children’s Linguistic Skills

Research suggests that practicing music can benefit linguistic abilities. In this research published by the prestigious Nature journal, over the course of two academic years, 66 kids were tested four times for vocabulary skills and their ability to understand phonemes. The development of children's phoneme processing and vocabulary skills were considerably enhanced by music playschool. Data suggests that even lighthearted group music activities, when continued over a number of years, can improve preschoolers' verbal abilities. Therefore, it makes sense to advocate for the inclusion of regular music playschool sessions taught by qualified teachers in early childhood education.
