Mannes School of Music

The Mannes School of Music is located in the Greenwich Village campus of The New School in Lower Manhattan near the Union Square area. Mannes offers a curriculum that is both challenging and creative, taught by staff of the highest caliber and guest artists. Students benefit from private lessons, ensemble experiences, master classes, and a thorough grounding in theory imparted by the renowned Techniques of Music department. You are selected only after a rigorous audition process. This is certainly for serious students of music who have undergone several years of sustained training. It also requires a Saturday commitment every week.
